Who collects Naval stuff?

Let's see, 2000 lb mine got stuck in the dredges suction pipe, hmm.... I think that can be considered a "remote pull" by EOD standards. Now to find the thing in churned up waters and in loose sand, plus the area being full of anomalies making magnetic detection downright impossible. Hope they have plenty of air. Cheers, Bruce.

I find the lanugage describing the activity to be interesting. The mine wasn't lost. It was "mislaid". It would be a bit interesting to be a fly on the wall when the people in charge discuss this matter in detail.

They should check the warranty , if it didn't go off when the dredger sucked it up then I would want my money back ~

HAZORD, Do you think that, being in a channel to be dredged it was laid correctly to begin with or was it "mis-laid"?:tinysmile_hmm_t: So would this make it now laid-mis-laid or mis-mis-laid?
Gspragge, I think they've changed management at least once since manufacture, you know, George to Elizabeth (and she'e getting a wee bit long in the tooth) so I think the barristers would claim all sorts of stalling tactics and you would NEVER get your moneys worth. Cheers, Bruce.
