Given the limited use of this, Coastal 6 prs, the old Navy kind, maybe a one time run not many would be needed unless some were sent to the UK. I wonder if we made the fuzes or brought them in ? -new or old reloaded cases ? I have not seen one yet dated for ww2 over here, thought I'm a thousand miles from where they would be found.

The number 10620 is to identify the fuze type, #240 or #241 in 1941 and likely changed up to #242 in 43. Does anyone know
the meaning of S.E. above this number and what does B.S. mean, aside from the usual--- does this refer to the steel type used ?

I think it would be more accurate to say that the projectile is to Drawing DD(L) 10620, which utilised a No. 24* fuze.

BS - Bar, Solid. Bored from Solid. As opposed to Forged or Cast.

Can't assist with the S.E.
