The first 10 minutes concerns MD1 (Winston Churchill's Toyshop), and includes an illuminating spread of devices. Also a demonstration of a simulated Sticky Bomb being thrown. And that's not all...

Rare indeed. When you think how many AC delays are still about you'd imagine that there would be dozens of these J delays but I have only seen two (one of which this chap is holding).

I should perhaps have said that the delay shown in the programme (like photo above) was an SOE/ES6 modification of the J Delay. The original MD1 design does not use the knurled safety disc on the threaded striker tail; the disc is unscrewed prior to deployment. The MD1 version used a simple split pin as per the drawing. Also by this time the aniseed ball has given way to a more scientific preparation.
