This 1.5" paper/card cased Green Flare Cartridge came with some other items today. I thought although it's not really what I collect it was in good shape for a WW2 one and I thought it might make a good swap. On close inspection I found faint printing on the side " C T B 9.17" so in fact it is of WW1 vintage ! they are the only markings I can see except for the green band around the top and the headstamp "ELEY LONDON" Would there have been any other markings on the case originally ? Sorry for the poor pic quality, point and shoot camera.
