WW1 Flare cartridge?

Happy new year to all, and thanks for your help during the last year.
I've just received a WW1 German Flare cartridge and have no information on it apart that it was found in the Argonne Forest in Northern France.
The only marking on it is a single headstamp which I don't recognize, no date, or other marks anywhere. The calibre is approximately 25mm an length O/A is 82.94 mm.
Can anyone,(Tony E?), give me any data for my catalogue?
Thanks in advance,
navyman.

This is a 26.5mm Flare cartridge.

It was made by Georg Egestorff, Linden, Germany.
