WW1 German 155mm case ID?

Hi gang, any thoughts on what this case might be? A buddy recently picked it up. About 211mm tall and 158ish at the mouth. Is it a cut down 15cm case?? The rim is thinner and squared (not rounded) compared to a 15cm K16 case. Your thoughts? IMG_1061.jpegIMG_1058.png
 
@Alpini Interesting! So a German-made case for a capture Russian howitzer? I’m so glad I joined this forum. I’ve gotten several tough/specific questions answered rather quickly. Thanks for the information.
 
Yes, in both World Wars a lot of different cases and shells were made for foreign guns in Germany.
