WW1 German 37mm Canister ~

This great photo shows one of the German 37mm Trench cannons, rather an awful thing.
based on a Revolving gun barrel. The Breech block firing system is quite clear and was used
in several of these designs. This also shows the transport box for the canister rounds.
This would the the 15th Infantry regiment or the reserve regiment of same or the Bavarian
equivelent.

Its a bit early in morning for me, but am I seeing it right in the breech being actually separated from the rest of the cannon during the reloading process? That is certainly not something I have seen before.
