WW1 German explosive "Glckauf"

MINENAZ16

Hello,

I found a German explosive bloc in brown paper dated 1915 (245mmx85mmx55mm) similar to other blocs like Perdit or Wesphalit marked :

1 kilo
"Glckauf"
Handhabungssicherer Ammonsalpetersprengstoff

so my question is : what is "Glckauf" ??

Regards

"Glckauf" is the motto of German miners, meaning to reappear safely to the surface.

Most likely this charge/brand has been provided for commercial purposes.

Bonjour

"Glckauf" is a mixture of Amonium nitrate and other elements
see "Notes on german shells" p50
