WW1 German m1917 rifle grenade

I've always been fascinated with the un-rodded rifle grenades of WW1 as the V.B. and this m1917 German rifle grenades. I guess it's the design with the bullet passing through the center hole as it is complicated yet simple. Here are two in my collection. The dis-assembled one has the cardboard gasket still. Still looking for the practice version if anyone can help..........Dano
