WW1 sighting incendiary bombs

I've come across a term that I am unfamiliar with I did some checking but only found one reference to it in Ian Castles book on Zeppelin Raids.

Does anyone know what a "sighting incendiary bomb" was? It seems obvious by it's name but in what context was it used? and was there a specific type of bomb that was used for this purpose or is it a general term?

Thanks in advance for any input or better yet specifics....
