I am at present working on the clearance of WW11 German ammo dump site.
We have uncovered crates full of 20mm's which appears to have asbestos sheets on the insides of the crates, makes sense to provide a fire barrier 70 years ago, but todays Health and Safety are having heart attacks.
Any info on the make up of any packing crates would be most helpful.
So far the items recovered range from Sea mines to the smallest items of the 20mm.
