WW2 German 8,8cm Case Marking '6306 1 verlang, aufgew'.

I would like to know the significance of the headstamp and '6306 1' number on this case. The primer is a standard C12nASt dated 1944 and the complete headstamp is shown below. Unfortunately the case has been cut-down and had trench art engraving added, but it would still be good to understand the headstamp. Thank you.

Verlang = Verlangert = lengthened
Aufgew = aufgeweitet = widened

Thank you, but what does 'lengthened' and 'widened' mean in terms of the case/round/weapon and why 6306 1, rather than 6347?

As far as I know this is part of a 8,8 cm Flak18 Exerzier Patrone (Zunderstellpatrone). Many old cases were used, most likely WW1 and WW2. This is the only one I know with code 6306. I will look up some images posted on another forum...

Some images. My own cut down case, a drawing and an image of the rounds.
