WW2 German safety fuze (zundschnur)

Does anyone know what I can use as an accurate substitute for inert WW2 German safety fuze (zundschnur)?

I have seen German origin safety fuzes:
-Tar coated normal Brickford fuze
-Black, plain plastic coated fuze.

If you use modern tar coated it's good enough. If you burn it inert submerged in cold water it remains good.

In case there's no (burnt) original available, you should search after suitable sized & coloured electric cable.



This helps until something better might turn up.

Thanks for the replies. I don't have access to any form of fuze so the electric cable is my best option. Unless someone is willing to send me a piece of burnt fuze.... I would pay of course.
