The case was made by the 'The Gramophone Company Ltd', perhaps better known as 'His Master's voice'/'HMV'. Latterly became EMI.

It certainly looks like a C broad arrow which would mean Canadian Govt ownership / acceptance. What is the manufacturer mark ?
