Made a grenade trade last weekend and ended up with this French made Besozzi. He also has an Italian made Besozzi I think both of them are fairly hard to find.

Nice grenade . Here's a scan of the difference . The Italian one is on the left & much smaller than the French version & has a welded top . Also , the Italian ones are MUCH rarer than the French ones . Hope this is of interest to you . Siegfreid.

Nice Grenade! The fuze is especially rare I don't think I've seen an original before. John

Thanks for the replies at the moment I'm working on finding or making a plug for the bottom. The threaded hole is 12mm and I have to figure out the thread pitch, which is fairly fine.

Enclosed is a picture of the grenade with a plug I modified from a brass M12 bolt. The grenade thread pitch was 1.7, which isn't common the bolt thread was 1.75, so it was a little tricky to do without messing up the grenade threads.

Enclosed is another picture showing the plug to be flush with the base of the grenade. The only other M12 bolt I had was stainless steel and I ruined it trying to rework the threads.
