Picked this up the other day as I hadn`t seen it but was told it was a 1943 40mm Practice round.

Committed to buy it expecting a 2pounder projectile of some sort.

As you can see good original paint.
Stamped: P 40MM VI

Diamond with a C in it, T.C T(or) I

LOT No 29

9/1944
Stencilled: 40MM. MkVI

There are some other stamp marks that are hard to make out, Inspection/quality?

It is hollow.

Can anyone ID it please? Is the P for Practice?
