shure, the gaine always has to be attached, otherwise the fuze won't work. The inner clockworks are also the same as the (17)A and B electric bomb fuzes. Because these standard electric bomb fuzes are much longer, additional booster-pellets/rings had to be inserted if they were used in airforce bombs. But, all used the same 2 standard clockworks of the (17) fuze.

I wasn't sure if the fuze was perhaps attached to some other type of igniter instead of the gain in this type of use. Thanks for the confirmation.
