244 style fuze question

The fuze on the right in the last 2 pictures is a mystery to me and is shown next to a 244 fuze for comparison.

It unscrews as shown. Right hand thread.

It has no markings. Please would someone identify it.

Thanks.

Dave.

Very similar to my 241 fuze which has the impact style nose. I assume this style was used when it hit water, mud, soft earth etc.

It would appear to be an unfinished 244. The piece with the centre hole and peg spanner holes - the lower detonator holder, should be screwed fully home. This would then have the magazine and shutter assembly screwed in afterwards. The fuze is also missing the needle disc, needle holder etc.
