Does anyone have more information or documentation in regards to the 2cm AZ 55 ? Haven’t really found anything useful about what it is used in , the ones I’ve seen were all from 1945.
I will give the following information from a book from Mr Anderhub: The only time the AZ 55 was mentioned, was in a letter from 1945 regarding that the manufacturer of fuzes have to report their production rates. It was mentioned also, that the previous nomenclature of the AZ 55 was "AZ 9507". The official designation of the AZ 55 was "2cm Kpf.Z. AZ 55" (It is a box known which has this designation on its label) It seems to be that this fuze was developed by the Airforce (Luftwaffe) ; the highest lot-number known was 42.
