I was recently lucky enough to find a 2pr Mk5 projectile complete with 131 fuze and inert gaine, not a round i ever expected to find anytime soon as in 20+ years of collecting i had never seen one. The body is stamped 2pr FS RWL and dated 7/11/16 I am in need of a case for it if anyone has a spare, cash or trade, not holding my breath but there must be one out there.
Best regard Weasel.

For those unfamiliar with the case, the complete round is shown here, on the far right:

The 40x240R Mk V round was apparently intended for a manually-loaded aircraft gun during WW1. Only two guns were ordered for testing and little ammo was ever made. Sadly this one is not in my collection - I borrowed it to photograph many years ago.

Hi Tony,
Thank you very much for your reply, I was not aware of the info you added that so few of the guns were made and an equally small quantity of ammunition to go with them. A shame that this arrived stuck in a cut down 2pr Naval case, I wonder where the original one went.
Best regards Weasel.
