Hello,

In attachment , two images of the mentioned fuze. I had the following question in regards to it : What nationality is this one? Aluminium , markings : "UV" or "VU" (possibly factory marking?)

Thank you

Hello,
Really looks like an adapter with fuze for hungarian 4cm HE shell
Regards

I only know the designation of the brass model for 4cm : "Pillanatgyújtó 38/40M SR"
Your aluminium version could have another designation (xx/40M)

Ah yes, from what I remember the aluminium one is 42/40AM , I was confused due to the other 42AM I posted. Thanks by the way!

@ FHGrStg,
Nice drawing, but also interesting to compare it to the black and white drawing above it an see that there are intermal differences (hole through explosive charge vs self destruct element above the steel disc).

Maybe FHGrStg will show all the drawings he made about the 40 mm projectiles.
The are very good.

Regards,

Chris
