70 guns and a grenade found in Sussex

As one of the comments at the bottom of the page says, It's really nice to know how much the bungalow is worth and that the former owner was 72 when he expired. Who really needed to know that :hmmmm:

I hope all the "guns" are legitimate and then his family can sell them on, instead of the usual "sent for destruction",i dont think they are destroyed, proberbly given to "certain" other collectors, wink wink

The air rifle looked particularly nasty to me!!
The firearms `expert` was either misquoted or was out of touch.
If I am correct unless this guy had an FAC with a section 5 then if all the handguns were capable of firing then they were illegal?
As to the rifles, the fully auto ones again would need to be S5?
The report is vague as to whether or not these were useable weapons & not deacs?
Depending on when (if at all) they were deactivated will dictate how much they `work` & strip down.
The comment `live & loaded` I like.
In the Military ALL weapons are considered loaded & live - until proven otherwise. So if this is a pile of deacts (I doubt it though myself) then that could be a valid statement in the first instance.
I bet they end up cut up unfortunately.

Reads like the usual quality journalism.

What else would you expect from the DailyMail. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of mistakes in the articles.

No doubt we will never find out the true nature of the colection, like the poor guy that died in Sheffield a while back.

It's real common it the States to have collections this size or larger. It's common and doesn't even turn a head unless the owner is a criminal. I hope the collection doesn't get destroyed. I hate all gun laws except for laws banning criminals from possessing firearms.
