Abbreviation Buster

Hi Blu
I'm afraid to say its my poor use of the English language ;) basically the DB's are short for "Dogs Bollocks"

Dogs Bollocks - Meaning Excellent - the absolute apex. - The reasons why the 'dog's bollocks' are considered to be the top of the tree aren't clear. Dogs do enjoy licking them of course, but there's no evidence that links the coining of this phrase to that. It is most likely that this is just a nonsense phrase, coined because it sounds good. In that, it would join a long list of earlier nonsense phrases, e.g. 'the cat's pyjamas', 'the bees knees etc.

I hope that helps, and Im sure there is a list of abbreviations for English Phrases

Two more for 'A' and one for 'U'

AT - Ammunition Technician
ATO - ammunition Technical Officer
AE - Ammunition Examiner (Not used any more)

UIC - Unique Identifying Code - That code given to Ammunition Technicians on qualification to be used on Ammunition related forms and paperwork to record inspection, repair, reworking, proof, initial acceptance, destruction or reconditioning work completed on the ammunition to name but a few. This is the three digit code sometimes seen on surplus ammunition containers stencilled in white generally under the correct designation for the ammunition the box contained.

Can anyone help out an old forgetful tech? Looking for the correct meanig of TDM. I think it means Temporary Displaced Magazine but I cant for the life of me remeber if it is and where I learned that from.
