Airborne Beer!

Just had to have some "Airborne beer" when I read the book "NUTS!" by Vincent Speranza.

Vince Speranza was with the 101st Airborne during the Battle of Bastogne.

During a lull in the battle, he went looking for water for the injured soldiers and couldn't find a drop.

He did find some beer though!

Filling his helmet up, he went round the injured soldiers and gave them the beer.

This "action" was thought to be a myth/legend, untill Vince went back to Bastogne years later and admitted it was HE, who gave out the beer.

To commemorate the occasion, this Company made bottles of "Airborne Beer", complete with the Ceramic helmet.
