Aluminium and brass fuse, help please.

Interesting for it's spareness. Unmarked except for the "Delay" and "S. Q" notations on the cover. Brass and aluminium. Can't get the base plug unscrewed. Any thoughts as to origin and age and purpose? Thank you.

This one reminds me of the German design AZ23 used on the 88's etc - is there any connection between the two? was one copied from the other design?

not really my area, but always interesting to learn new things
