G'day mates,
At long last I have finished producing 14 PDF files of the WWII Australian Military Forces Technical Intelligence Summaries.
These summaries cover every kind of Japanese equipment and ordnance that they captured in the field. There is something for everybody. whether you are into Tanks or aerial bombs or communications equipment right down to weapons and ordnance. It covers in detail a lot of obscure hard to find information, of the likes that I haven't seen elsewhere.
They are very comprehensive and a must for any collector of Japanese WWII ordnance or equipment. They are real live time on the spot intelligence and thus mistakes are made. Any corrections are noted in subsequent issues. Thus for this reason it is advisable to download them all.
I am very fussy when it comes to producing PDFs. I have to apologise though for the quality of the Black and White photos. It was beyond my control because I only had photocopies of the originals that were done many years ago. Hence also some pages are missing occasionally on some items because the person photocopying decided to miss them out.
The issues available here only represent about half of the original issues. So it isn't a complete set. I do have the full index shown here so one can see what info is available. The Australia War Memorial has a full set of these summaries and will copy on request the required issues or pages, at a cost though.
They can be contacted via their website.
I have spent enough of my funds and time towards this project and other PDF projects. So if any of you want the rest of the issues then if you all chip in I am prepared to organise obtaining copies from the AWM and will produce PDFs for the benefit of you all.
I will post the links to the uploaded PDF files on here in the coming days as they appear in the Downloads section.
Also if any of you have access to military libraries whether it be in Australia, UK, South Africa, Canada, US or New Zealand then there is a possibility that you might have copies in the libraries. If you do then please could you let me know. Then you might be able scan any outstanding issues. I have attached a distribution list which might be of help in tracking down copies.
Cheers,
Robert
