Here are pics of two kind of odd WWII M10A2 fuzes that where made by someone in the workforce at the Eastman Kodak company in WW2, that might have had a hangover, or did not know how to spell too well. :tinysmile_tongue_t:
Both these fuze handles have a backwards "Z" in the word Fuze. The fuzes both have the exact same lot number 93, they are both zinc coated and one was painted OD.
I would like to see if other members have one, pictures of one, or if you have seen any EK fuzes like this with a different lot number?? Maybe another maker with a backwards Z also is out there also?
If all the odd EK fuzes are the same lot number as these two, than they obviously caught the mistake before the next lot. I guess the dies for the stamps for these fuze handles /Spoons were done by hand and manually changed? Not sure, it would be interesting to know what the procedures for stamping these handles was, and how this could have happened.
