BOCN Guess what it is

Cannon shell head [Aden?] painted so it shows up when fired through a mesh drogue towed by another 'plane ? There's probably a name for them but I can't think what it is .

I use det cord just about once a week and you know after posting the picture it has occurred to me that it does look like the stuff. But it isnt....Nowhere near warm.

Err.. where did that come from? .. Sorry...no points. It is far quieter than a thunderflash, less tasty than a stick of rock, it is designed to be fired but wont hurt if it hits...I need sleep now... Hope the answer awaits me in the morning.

Not quite sure. I missed your post for the one after my last guess, didn't relalise I was close.

I'm going to go for the back end of a 7.62 LPTR projectile.
