shown in the attached image next to a KB-1 with a 7.62 nato round for scale

You are on the right track, though there is a version to this. Where is it from and what in particular?
 
Crimping of a (US) M10 fuze for Mk II. Green color varnish indicate an initiator and not a detonator. (M6 fuze with detonator = varnish red),

Yoda, no, I have choosen this somewhat unusual color to distract people. Seems it worked.
