BOCN Guess what it is

Ok, it is a "DSA" fuze for East German (GDR) simulators. It has a friction wire ignition and a piece of safety fuse inside.

Guess it is over to Allan.

Thanks EOD. What is an "East German simulator"? Sorry - this is a little out of my collecting area so I don't have a clue what it is.
Thanks.
Dave.

Dave, well how to say, a simulator made in East Germany? A pyrotechnical device used for training which is producing noise and/or visual effects.

Shall I jump in here just to get the thread moving again?

Dave.

The base of an impulse cartridge or electrically initiated disrupter cartridge showing the contact point in the centre.

No missile, no disruptor. Many of you have seen these and may have even worked with when in the air force.

Yoda, you are on the right way but not totally. Aircraft is correct.

Hint: it is not really an attack ammunition system, wide spread in NATO countries.
