A British 6-pdr Common Pointed projectile presented as a cutaway ,complete with its cartridge case. The case is dated 1938 and bears the marking “6 Pr V” with “N 1938” below.

The projectile is fitted with a base fuze marked “W.S.&S.” The driving band carries the number “1157”, with “DR” stamped beneath it. An additional “N” marking is present, indicating the naval association of the ammunition.

An interesting example of British pre-war 6-pdr naval ammunition. (Sorry if there’s any bad photos)IMG_3568.jpegIMG_3570.jpegIMG_3578.jpegIMG_3576.jpegIMG_3587.jpegB4F08E0D-6138-4249-937C-7E67718D53EA.png
