DOPPZ DM 53 - More Info Please

Can anyone offer any info on this fuze, i have searched the forum and Google but cannot find reference to the fuze anywhere. What was it used on? Are they common? What date? etc, etc.

Stamped - DOPPZ DM53 (FUZE MTSQ) LOS EGE - 3A

It is for 105mm and 155mm howitzer projectiles and is a copy of the US M501A1.
As your's here is combined with a HE booster it became a DM113. The DM53 is the "basic" variant without the attached booster unit.

Thanks for the info EOD, any idea what the "LOS EGE - 3A" means?
 
Los means Lot & nr. 3A. EGE ist the manufacturers code. I dont know the real name, sorry.

By the way, seems like EOD forgot to mention that it is a german fuze ;-)

Oh well, sometimes I am getting lost. For some reason I thought it was mentioned somewhere.
But to revenge a bit: EGE = "Contigea" (today "Itron"), Brussels, Belgium :tinysmile_grin_t:
Of course made for Germany then.
