Those silly initials on American shells annoy me. Amazingly I came across a book that is one of the most self serving things I have ever seen. To make a long story short, the author was (evidentially) in charge of contracts during the Great War. He clearly felt guilty for having suffered nothing worse than a paper cut. In any event, he converted his wartime "experiences" into 3 really turgid volumes. They are all basically the same stuff. I does bring Monty Python to mind.

BUT there is a saving grace. The guy names all of the US companies that produced ordnance.

Ok, I know that he does not provide initials but maybe we could sorta fill in the blanks.

Anyway, go wild
