Drill purpouse or sample fuze

I got this at last years bocn meet up.same shape and size as a no117 or no119 (shown in photo between a 117 and 119) Non functioning it is made of steel and threaded, with a laquer coating.It s Hollow with no markings other than a faint arrow in a diamond shape,does anyone know what it is for ? is it a drill representative piece ,a sample ?? any suggestions welcome

Plug Rep.

Hi Spotter and as a first answer it is a "Plug Rep" for the corresponding fuze.
I had a 25 pounder recovery proof round that was fitted with one of these and it too was hollow and made from steel which had been Brass plated then Lacquered.
I do not recall any stamps other than "PLUG REP 117".

Interesting that you appear to have three different models, Brass, Steel and Maizac metal ! Very nice.
