Fears over mustard gas at beach

Does anybody have any info on what these might have been? Presuming that they are 25pdr shells?

Yep, it was a 25pdr, they were filled either H, BBC, HE or inert fill at this location.
5.5", 6" and the occasional 4.2" mortar also turn up there as well.
