Fuse ID please

Hi Guys
I was wondering if any of you out there could ID this fuse for me ? I have had a good look through the excellent Passion/Compassion site and from that am leaning towards a French fuse but little features seem slightly different. There are no markings to be found. The other reason I am thinking French as it was found by Maricourt / Hardecourt which was of course a French sector of the Somme.
Look forward to your responses, cheers
