Hi Chaps,
I was going to bung this in the ident section but had second thoughts.
Im thinking its some sort of Rocket fuze??
What say you lads? I know the parts have different makers and the stamps are from an early series waffenamt inspector.
'bmv' letters are sometimes found on the long delay and booby trap bomb fuzes.
Im ever so pleased with this one! :)

Hello Waff,

very nice. I know that it used in German 28cm and 32cm Wurfgranate. (So maybe WGrZ mean WurfGranateZnder.)

Hi Waff,

I think it looks like a mortar bomb fuze, my thoughts at least. Maybe someone else has more information.

regards
Kev

It is a Wurfgranateznder 50 only the top ,
it is screw into a piece of the body

Thank you Gents for the Ident and PM's regarding it. The fuze needs soaking first before i undo the alli parts from the steel body. :)

Oh, good to find this thread here.
Can you Paul or Erhard tell me what the diametre and pitch of the main thread of this fuze is?
Proportions look like M50 x 3 but I am not sure. Would be nice if someone could help.
thanks a lot
cheers

Waffen-Revue #117 page 157 says for Wgr.Z.50* M36x1,5 which means that it should be the same as in Wgr.Z.36/1. Has anyone an actual fuze to confirm?

yep, must be something around 35-36mm as I was told from another guy who has a fragment of the Mundlochbuchse. So this cannot be M50x3 or there are different patterns.
So this seems to match. Thank you.
Arhh, I have all the WaffenRevue but not the #117. Has somebody a surplus exemplar for sale?
thanks nudel
