It has been a while since I posted. I picked this up at the Phoenix Gun show. I was told it is a WWI grenade launcher. It fits my SMLE:III rifle. It is really dirty and needs cleaning. I just had to find out something about it. CouldIMG_0671.jpgIMG_0673.jpgIMG_0675.jpgsome one tell me it's correct name and the year it was issued? Thank you, Vaughn

On one of the branches that supports a clip it has SIR. On the other side it has a deep stamped 38, and on the other it has SA over a line, over 169. I will try to take pictures. Thanks, Vaughn

As Millsbomber hinted, of Indian manufacture - SIR is Southern Indian Railway.
