I would say that there is no center tube, judging by the amount that the base plug screws in and the off center striker. Could always be a 36 with a 23 plug screwed in. No makers stamp which is odd. Filler screw looks to be too good to be true. Can you post a pic of it stripped please? Oh and as one of the last posts asked, any chance of the details stamped onto the plug?
Thanks for the replies, glad I know what it is. I didn't pay much for it and its fine as a pack filler for my 37 pat webbing so not too fussed its a repro
If it had a proper type base plug it would be a much better repro than the resin copies available in Canada. At least it's made of metal and has some weight.
Mmmm. I picked up a really nice 36 body at War & Peace in the summer. It has standard threads and the Kendrick K on the front. It has the same patina as the one pictured. I'd be horrified if it was a fake.
