I Have A Big One!

Hi Guys;

I finaly got hold of a reasonably big casing: a 21cm x 836R for the SK L/45 gun, but am I right? After a little research, it appears only 16 guns were manufactured, and 8 were fitted on the Armoured Cruiser Bluecher which got sunk in 1915 according to NavWeaps. So far so good. However, there's another type of guns of the same caliber which were fitted on older types of Armoured Cruisers that's the 21cm SK L/40 Guns, with 3 variations: C97, C01 and C04. Are the cases for these guns the same as the 21cm 836R?

The case was reloaded 3 times, but what is the meaning of the number 660? Is it the number of the case? The lot number? An inspector's mark? Any info is welcome.

Thank you.

Sorry to bump this one, but maybe someone can help me with the same cartridge.

Mine has markings:
455
VII.09.
E

However it was produced in 1911... The SK L/45 came in service in 1909, could this be a reference for its use there?
Is the one in the previous post than automatically for the SK L/40 ?

However the boat sank in 1915 ... and this one was reloaded in 1918
I would like to think the E stands for Eisenbahn, but you would assume it is done while stamping the 455 and VII.09. marking ?
Or these 3 lines are stamped at three different times?
