Japanese Navy Bomb Incendiary Pellet

This is an incendiary pellet from one of the IJN 250 kg Incendiary-Shrapnel Bombs (Type 2 No.25 Mark 3 Model 1) that were dropped on Darwin.

It is 2 3/4" x 1" and was filled with a thermite rubber mixture.

Not the best pic,from a previous post ,but one i took a couple of years ago at 'Long',N.T. ,of the contents of a Japanese Incendiary bomb crater.
