L70 Bofors with No 251 MK3 fuze 1956 dated

I did not know L70 bofors used the No251 DA fuze, anyone out there that can enlighten me,thanks

L70 didn’t use the 251 fuze. The wartime 251 was upgraded to the 255 in about 1944, and in the late 1940s the 259 was introduced. Normally a 1956 dated fuze would be a 259. Have you got any photos?

Well it is as you said. Very unusual. Stamps on the fuze look a bit rough, but probably genuine. The magazine is alloy rather than brass.
