Pity it didn't blow his balls off too,surely a prime candidate for a Darwin award. Or these days maybe a terrorism charge?

How can you talk about terrorism charges if the stuff can be fully legaly bought in any shop as a two component -ready to mix- explosive with no need for a permit , licence or any proof of the fact you know what you're dealing with.
This is what's called fun in the USA, a country where one has plenty of space and where you're allowed to harm yourself on your own property as long as you do ot bother your neighbours.
One can only talk about stupid behaviour with the handling of explosives and severely underestimating the power of an explosive, of which he will face the consequences for the rest of his life looking down.
