The German Marine Dienstvorschrift Nr. 452 (M.Dv. Nr. 452) about Luftminen (1944) mention the following about the Zusatzzünder Z 34 B: The working and description about the fuze is written in the German Luftwaffe Dienstvorschrift g 152/32 (L.Dv. g 152/32) (1943).

I do not have this German Air Force manual, maybe someone else?

I came across photos on Facebook (I don't know the author).

We probably know the type (34) A...
O
On the left is the type (34) B, on the right is the type (4u).
---------
The type (34) B has, among other things, a special feature, which is a hydrostatic target sensor... the purpose of the igniter is primarily to destroy a mine if it falls outside the water or into shallow water.
That is, t

o eliminate the risk of mine misalignment and to understand the design.

Foto right the type (4 u) has a mechanical transport safety (I am not sure if this is a unique solution or has been used elsewhere) and as for the other stages of unlocking, it is using a clockwork. The target sensor itself is purely impact. (duplicate)It contains 2 independent impact systems in a 90-degree position and are similar to the type modification ... or ? 80A.
