This US Navy AC-carrier task force is plodding it's way through the north atlantic when radar pics up a contact that is right in it's path.
As the contact is still miles 'n miles away, the task force tries to make radio contact on open maritime channels but recieves no reply.
About an hour later, and getting somewhat nervous about an impending collision, the task force again tries to get in touch with the, still unresponding, contact:
"unknown contact, this is US Navy taskforce 415, you're on a collision course, we advise you take evasive action". But again, no response.
Another half hour passes and the American admiral by now is getting distinctly nervous. Thus once again this unknown contact is hailed:
"unknown contact, this is US Navy taskforce 415, you're on a collision course, we demand you take evasive action immediately". But to no avail.
By now the unkown contact is only about twenty miles away so the American taskforce commander decides to "somewhat" increase the urgency in the message he has his people broadcast:
"unknown contact, this is US Navy taskforce 415, you're on a collision course, take evasive action immediately or we may have to use force"
Result; nothing but silence.
With the contact now within 10 miles one last try is made by the taskforce to get it's message across:
"unknown contact, this is US Navy taskforce 415, you're on a collision course, take evasive action immediately or we will use force"
To which a voice with an unmistakable Scottish accent replies:
FECK OFF, We're a lighthouse.
