There was this unusual bit of hardware at a recent show and I thought some of you fellows would be interested. It's the current issue US Army M1155A1 PIAFS (Portable Inductive Artillery Fuse Setter). This would normally be used just before loading the fused shell, not on loose fuses as pictured. The handle holds two "D" size batteries if used as a nominally portable unit weighing about 10kg. Not pictured is the optional included umbilical to tie into the artillery electronics.
