M54 thread direction

5th Armored

Well-Known Member
Hi All-
I have a M54 fuze that is missing the time rings and I was thinking of having some replicas turned up for me. I will need to get the top half of the fuze off to test fit the new rings - can anyone tell me if it's lefty loosey or not? It's a bit corroded but I want to make sure I'm trying to turn it in the correct direction before I put any force into it.
Cheers
Chris

the drawings don't have the "LH" letters behind the upper thread for the closing cap assembly so it should be a normal right hand thread (1" 14 TPI National Fine Thread). And for the rings you'll find perfect dimensions on following diagrams. I also made several such rings - Especially engraving the graduation is very relaxing work on the rotary table :)
