If you look carefully at the base of the anvil you will see two circles. inside one of those circles you will find a date of manufacture.

I saw one today at W&P and yes I agree WW1. Looking through my notes and pictures I'd say a Belgian grenade. The Roland had a similar anvil so it must be either a Roland or a contemporary from the same period. The Roland had a single spike striker.
