No. 125 Fuze - When Obsolete?

All the info I've checked so far shows the No. 125 fuze being declared obsolete in 1949. I have a mint example of a No.125 MkI N made by VAEL clearly dated 5/53 LOT 1.

Any ideas, info, comments?

Trials use perhaps.

Just a thought that it may have been specifically made for a trial of something that had that particular fuze functioning requirement ?
It would not be the first time an old "tried and trusted" product was re-made for a trial.
