`No 221 Fuze Markings

They were a bit tight for space here, thus the position of 'B' is a little confusing. However, according to 'Land Services Fuzes 1964' there was only a 'No. 221B II' and no 'No. 221 IIB' thus as you quiet rightly state the 'B' in this case denotes the substitution of a weaker detent spring. If the 'B' is after the mark it indicates the fuze has a one piece striker instead of a striker with a separate head.
SM/C - Is a Canadian manufacturer, which as yet, I have been unable to identify.

The Canadians had a Mk 11 25 pdr, which i believe wasn't used in the UK, if that helps the puzzle?
